How to Fisch Enchant rods at Keepers Altar

Relics, Cole's elevator, Merlin, and which sticks deserve a roll.

Enchanting Guide

Enchanting is how Fisch turns a finished rod into a loadout. How to Fisch is the Roblox game by Fisching (online multiplayer, C$ economy, launched 5 October 2024), not the Steam title How to Fish. An Enchant Relic in your hands tells you to bring it to the Keepers Altar during the Night. That prompt is the loop: get a relic, wait for night, stand on the altar with the rod equipped, and spend the relic. One enchant sits on a rod at a time. A new relic replaces the old roll. Using two relics in a row does not stack two primaries.

Do not spend the first relic on a Flimsy Rod. Getting Started stops at Magma for a reason. Relics are the bottleneck, not Cole’s 400 C$ token. Bank them until rod progression names a stick that will keep the roll. Midas is the first one worth the trip.

Where Enchant Relics come from

You can fish an Enchant Relic anywhere. The chance is low on Moosewood commons. Rates feel better in The Depths and during Aurora. If Depths is still locked, keep fishing and favorite every relic so a merchant sell-all cannot eat it.

After Level 30, Merlin sells Enchant Relics from his hut on Sunstone Island for 11,000 C$ each. Bulk deals exist when you buy a stack instead of a single gamble. Merlin is the C$ faucet for people who would rather follow the money farms than wait on a rare catch. He is not a reason to relic Carbon.

Exalted Relics, Cosmic Relics, and Sovereign Relics are different items. They are not better Enchant Relics that roll the same pool. Each type feeds a different enchant set. If you hold the wrong relic, you will not get Mystical from a regular Enchant Relic just because you wanted that name.

Redeem codes if you need C$ for Merlin or Cole. Codes do not spawn Exalted Relics on command.

Keepers Altar route

Keepers Altar sits under the Statue of Sovereignty, the island between Sunstone Island and Moosewood. Dock, climb the ladders into the mineshaft, and talk to Cole at the elevator. He charges 400 C$ per token. At 100,000 C$ you can buy infinite tokens so the elevator stops being a tax. Do not jump the shaft. Falling is a death, not a shortcut.

Ride down. The altar is the circular stone at the back of the cavern. Water on the left is a fishing hole, not the enchant table. Walk to the stone.

Enchanting is night only. Wait out the day cycle or pop a Sundial Totem. Then:

  1. Equip the rod you mean to keep (hotkey 1). Controls maps interact to E on PC.
  2. Hold the relic in your hands. The item prompt should already mention Keepers Altar at night.
  3. Stand on the altar and interact.
  4. The relic is consumed. The rod shows the new enchant.

If the relic will not equip at the bottom, equip it before you take Cole’s elevator. That bug is old and still worth avoiding.

Relic types and the rolls that matter

This page does not dump a full enchant museum. Patch notes retune names. The rolls that change the rod progression spine are the ones to remember.

Enchant Relics feed the standard pool. Names you will actually chase:

  • Divine — lure, luck, Resilience, and Progress Speed in one roll. A clean first Midas spend.
  • Clever — a large XP multiplier. The progression spine treats it as 2.25x XP on Wisdom, Great Rod of Oscar, and Pinion’s Aria.
  • Abyssal — C$ mutation chance. The usual Fallen Rod spend.
  • Lure-speed rolls such as Hasty or Swift are situational. They are not a reason to burn your only relic on Carbon.

Exalted Relics roll the exalted set. Mystical is the one the path keeps naming: +45% Resilience. Resilience is what keeps Legendary and Mythical fish from yanking you out of the bar. Mystical on Midas, Rod Of The Depths, and Ruinous Oath is the landing enchant, not a flex name.

Cosmic Relics add a secondary enchant. They do not replace the whole loadout the way a primary relic does. The two secondaries that matter on the spine:

  • Wise1.2x XP. Pair it with Clever on Great Rod of Oscar and Pinion’s Aria.
  • Sea Prince+15% weight. Weight is C$. Pair it with Sea Overlord on Terrotrapper, then with Mystical or Greed on the oath rods and Olympian Godbreaker.

Read the rod after the roll before you spend the next relic just to see. A Cosmic Relic is not a third primary.

Sovereign Relics are the late combo layer. During a Power Burst at the Statue of Sovereignty, pillars can rise around the altar. You place the required relics, then a Sovereign Relic, to roll crown / might / spirit combo enchants. Keeper Level from Enchanted Crevice warden quests unlocks more pillars. Applying a Sovereign enchant puts the rod into a Keeperbound state that parks the usual primary and secondary until you turn Keeperbound off. Replenish Power Burst by spending another relic into that system. This is endgame altar work, not a Moosewood errand.

If you are unsure which relic you are holding, do not interact. Favorite it, sail out, and check the item name in inventory.

What not to relic

  • Flimsy, Plastic, Lucky, Carbon, Magma. These rods exist to get you to Midas. A Mystical on Carbon is a relic you will not have for the 55,000 C$ Travelling Merchant stick.
  • Random Merchant clutter and most event sticks you will replace in a week. Compare temptation against the rods ranked list only after you know the next named spine rod.
  • Rerolling a good Mystical off Midas because a clip used Greed on Godbreaker. Greed is a late weight enchant. Divine or Mystical is the Midas job.
  • Spending the elevator fund before you own a Rowboat. Cole will take 400 C$ whether the relic is worth using or not.

The Guides Hub maps fishing and money when the wall is the bar or the wallet, not the altar. Night, rod on hotbar 1, relic in hand, interact on the stone. Spend the relic when the stick on rod progression will still be in your hand a month from now. Everything else is a Cole tax you did not need to pay.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, rods, and Saturday patches.

Where is Keepers Altar in Fisch?

Under the Statue of Sovereignty, between Sunstone Island and Moosewood. Dock, climb into the mineshaft, pay Cole 400 C$ for the elevator, and walk to the stone at the back of the cavern.

Can I enchant during the day?

No. The altar only accepts relics at night. Wait the day cycle or use a Sundial Totem, then equip the rod, hold the relic, and interact.

Should I enchant Flimsy or Carbon?

No. Save Enchant Relics for Midas and later spine rods. A new relic replaces the old enchant, so an early roll is a wasted late roll.

How do I buy Enchant Relics from Merlin?

Reach Level 30, then buy them from Merlin's hut on Sunstone Island for 11,000 C$ each. Bulk deals exist. Fishing relics is still possible, with better odds in The Depths and Aurora.

What do Mystical, Wise, and Sea Prince do?

Mystical is an Exalted roll for +45% Resilience. Wise is a Cosmic secondary at 1.2x XP on Oscar and Pinion's Aria. Sea Prince is +15% weight for late money rods.

What are Sovereign Relics for?

Crown, might, and spirit combo enchants at pillars during a Power Burst. Keeper Level from Enchanted Crevice warden quests unlocks more pillars. This parks usual enchants while Keeperbound is on.
