How to Fisch How to Use the Fisch Trello

The Fisch Trello wiki is the public board players opened the day after launch. It is still the fastest way to see the game sliced into labeled lists: how casting works, which rods existed at a given stage, which events can roll at night, and which NPCs sit on which island. It is not a live patch log. If you treat every card as today’s C$ price, you will buy the wrong rod.

This page teaches the board as a map, then sends you back to official links for Discord and X, and to the Updates Hub for what actually shipped this week.

Open the right board

The board ID in the URL must be k8WMQFb3. Clones copy the title “Fisch Trello Wiki” and add gift-card lists. If the link came from a YouTube description, paste it next to the one on our links hub before you click into cards.

Trello is a Kanban board. Lists run left to right. Cards stack inside a list. Open a card for the description, checklists, and attachments. You do not need a Trello account to read. You need an account only if you want notifications, which most players do not.

Because Fisch updates almost every Saturday, the board lags. Early lists still describe Flimsy, Training, Plastic, and Carbon as if they were the whole rod ladder. The live game has hundreds of rods. Use Trello to learn categories, then confirm stats in-game or on the rod tier list.

Mechanics column

The Mechanics list is the one new players should read first. Cards typically cover:

• Casting — hold to throw the bobber, shake to speed the bite, then the tension bar.
• Catching — keep the white bar over the fish, fill the progress meter, deal with negative progress speed on late-game water.
• Appraising — reroll attributes such as Shiny or Sparkling; some server events raise those odds.
• Selling — Merchant vs. Appraiser vs. event merchants (Sunshells during Fischfest).
• Favoriting — lock a catch so you do not vendor the mutation you meant to keep.

Those cards explain the verbs. They do not replace fishing basics or controls. If a mechanic card still shows launch-week keybinds, trust the in-game settings menu.

Rods column

The Rods list is a museum of how Fisch taught progression in 2024: Flimsy, Training, Plastic, Carbon, Fast, Lucky, Fortune, Magma, Rapid, Magnet, Steady, Fungal, Nocturnal, Long, Midas, King’s, Destiny, plus merchant and executive sticks. That ladder is still a useful early-game story. It is not the 2026 endgame.

When a card lists lure, luck, control, resilience, and max kg, treat the numbers as a snapshot. Enchant rerolls and Saturday rebalances move those stats. After you understand the early ladder, switch to rod progression for what to buy next and the rod tier list for what is actually strong.

Limited event rods (Fischfest Starshell, Astral Scavenger, Meteoric, Singularity) may never get a Trello card, or they get one weeks late. Absence on Trello does not mean the rod is fake. Presence on Trello does not mean it is still obtainable.

Events column

The Events list is where Trello still earns its keep, because the names have been stable since launch even when the odds change:

• Aurora Borealis
• Night of the Fireflies / Fire Fly Night
• Night of the Luminous
• Shiny Surge and Mutation Surge
• Strange Whirlpool / Travelling Merchant
• Lantern Keeper and other special NPCs

These are server or regional events, not the same thing as a Saturday destination update. An Aurora can roll on a random night in Moosewood. Astral Observatory is a patch that added a telescope you can fire on purpose. Fischfest is a seasonal island with a timer.

When a card says “WIP” or still uses 2024 screenshots, believe the name and the time-of-day rule, not the percentage. Cross-check the Updates Hub if you are trying to decide whether an event is a limited island or a weather roll.

NPCs, islands, bait, and enchants

Other lists you will scroll into:

• NPCs — who sells rods, who gives quests, who is a Shipwright. Vega and Captain Conch may not be filed yet even though they are live. Talk to the NPC in-game if Trello has no card.
• Islands / locations — Moosewood, Roslit, Sunstone, Mushgrove, and later seas. GPS numbers on old cards can be wrong after map expansions.
• Bait — what a card claims is “best” was best when the card was written. Prefer in-game bestiary hints.
• Enchants — Sea King, Swift, Lucky, and the rest. Relic sources change; the enchant names mostly do not.

If you are hunting a named NPC for a quest, search the board, then search fischipedia, then sail. Trello is the index, not the walkthrough. Quest steps belong on this wiki’s guide pages.

How to use Trello with this wiki

A practical loop after you spawn:

1. Skim Mechanics so the catch bar makes sense, then play through getting started.
2. Use the Rods list only until Carbon / Rapid / Steady, then graduate to rod progression.
3. When Discord announces a drop, ignore Trello for 24 hours. Read the Updates Hub or the Astral Observatory guide instead.
4. When you need a label (“what is a Mutation Surge?”), open the Events column, then go fish.
5. Keep official links nearby so you do not wander onto a cloned board.

Trello will not tell you that Astral cavern sell values were nerfed, that Fischfest Sunshells expire, or that SkycrestNextWeek already burned. Those facts live in patch notes and on this wiki. Use the board to remember the shape of Fisch. Use Saturday Discord and the update pages to remember the week you are in.

If a card still shows Flimsy Rod prices after a rebalance, trust the Merchant in front of you. The column is a label. The live shop is the truth.
