How to Fisch Fisch tier lists
Practical 2026 ranks by role, not a dump of every rod in the journal.
This Tier List Hub is the ranking map for How to Fisch, the Roblox fishing RPG by Fisching that launched on 5 October 2024. It is an online multiplayer C$ economy. It is not the Steam game How to Fish. We do not rank every rod in the journal. We rank the rods and bait you actually buy, craft, or quest for on a 2026 account.
Use this hub to pick a role first, then open the child lists. A rod that prints C$ is not the same tool as a rod that prints XP. A bait that fills a bestiary is not the same as a bait that speeds lure. Mixing those jobs is how people waste Travelling Merchant money and crate stock.
How we rank
Ranks are practical, not collector prestige. S means you should plan a route toward it. A means it carries a long stretch of the account. B means it is the right buy at that stage. C means skip it if you can save. The free Flimsy Rod is the starter, not a ranked grind tool.
Three roles sit under every letter:
- Money. Mutations, weight, and sell value. Early C$ is Midas Rod and later C$ is Oath-class or Olympian Godbreaker. Pair this with the money guide.
- XP. Perfect catches, XP passives, and time-to-level. Pinion’s Aria and Great Rod of Oscar belong here even when they are not your best merchant rod.
- Catch difficulty. Control, Resilience, Progress Speed, and Max Kg. Heavy fish, hunts, and awkward bars need a different rod than a luck stick with a tiny slider.
Bait has the same split. Weird Algae raises luck and slows lure. Truffle Worm is for high-value preferred spots. Worms and crate commons keep the line wet while you save.
Child lists
- Rods ranked — S through starter, with cost and role notes.
- Bait ranked — crates, shop, event mixes, and when to equip each one.
Read those two with rod progression so you do not buy a C-tier Moosewood rod on the way to Carbon. The fishing guide explains the minigame those stats feed.
What S, A, B, and C mean here
S is current endgame or XP meta: Olympian Godbreaker, Verdant Oath, Ruinous Oath, and Masterline-class lure/luck sticks. Pinion’s Aria and Great Rod of Oscar sit in S for XP, not because they replace Godbreaker on every money island.
A is the long middle: Bloomspire Blooming Splendor, Terrotrapper, Rod Of The Depths, Fallen Rod, Wisdom Rod for XP, and Midas Rod for early gold fish. These rods pay for boats, relics, and the next island.
B is the honest early route: Magma Rod (Orc quest, then Carrot Garden), Carbon Rod (2,000 C$ at Moosewood), Steady Rod when weight starts breaking cheap sticks.
C is Plastic, Lucky, Fast, and Training. Skip them if you can bank Carbon. They are not traps; they are detours.
How to use a rank without overpaying
- Open Getting Started if you still have Flimsy equipped.
- Check controls so the minigame is not the reason a B rod feels like F.
- Redeem codes and follow how to redeem before you buy bait you might already own.
- Run the session checklist so Limited and Exotic stay locked before you sell commons.
- Only then chase the next letter on rods ranked.
Crews, trading, and server choice live on the Players Hub. Patch notes that move a rod live on updates. Community boards sit on the wiki links and Trello pages. Scripts are listed on scripts if you want extras; this hub stays on rods, bait, and roles.
A rank is a buy order, not a flex list. If a rod is S for money and you still need levels, fish XP on Aria or Oscar, then swap back. If a bait is S for a hunt and you are filling Moosewood, use Worms. The lists below stay short on purpose so you can act in one session.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, rods, and Saturday patches.
Is this an official Fisch ranking?
No. How to Fisch is a fan wiki. Ranks are practical 2026 buy advice for money, XP, and catch difficulty, not every journal rod.
Where do I see the rod and bait lists?
Open rods ranked for S–C and starter, then bait ranked for Worms, Weird Algae, Truffle Worm, and event mixes.
Should I buy the highest letter I can afford?
No. Follow rod progression. Carbon at 2,000 C$ beats a skip into Lucky or Fast. Match the rod to money, XP, or catch role.
Does bait change a rod's tier?
Bait changes the session, not the rod letter. Equip it in Equipment Bag slot 2. See bait ranked before you open crates for luck you do not need.
